Do All of The Things

Feb 6, 2020

There's been a lot of talk lately about whether it's okay for a dietitian to call herself a coach or health coach. As someone who's been coaching since the beginning of my career as an RD, I have a slightly different perspective on this.

In today’s episode, I share my views on coaching with hopes to bring even more awareness to a set of skills I use effectively in my career as a dietitian.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN IN THIS EPISODE

  • The coaching skills and standards that are required to be an effective coach.
  • Why you would want to be trained in coaching before adding the term behind your credentials.
  • Whether or not someone can actually coach from their own life experiences.
  • How the coaching standard and skills directly relate back to what we do for our clients and how honing these skills can be beneficial to the dietetics profession as a whole.
